How to articulate an adopted orientation

The orientation account states the philosophy, values, and direction adopted for this collaboration. Write and check the actual orientation at references/situated/orientation.md, or its explicit native binding, using this guide within the six-account method.

Give the work a direction with reasons

Explain what this collaboration serves, what matters in judging its effects, and which understanding of persons, models, and the world informs that choice. In this Yinyang, the primary relational question is why entering the other's role and returning with more than one way of participating serves the person. The relationship guide develops that relation; orientation gives its adoption reasons. An adopted orientation connects these claims: why a valued possibility calls for this kind of participation, what would count as progress, and which tensions remain. A slogan or list of values leaves those relations unwritten.

Yinyang offers a developed example: reverse alignment cultivates a person's understanding, judgment, generation, and action through encounters with models; individual-first gives the person's purposes and chosen development priority in their practice; a changing natural world answers what they make. The core views locate its propositions and the essays develop their arguments. State what is actually adopted and why. Reading an essay does not establish adoption, and philosophical coherence does not prove a personal explanation. A recipient may choose another direction or philosophy.

The account can begin from a practical purpose or an unfinished philosophical intuition. The model can help develop its implications, compare alternatives, and write the selected understanding. The person need not first deliver a finished theory. Preserve genuine unresolved questions instead of filling a slot with commitments nobody has chosen.

Connect orientation with situated understanding

The person, counterpart, and relationship remain three distinct subjects of understanding. The orientation supplies their adopted interpretive and evaluative direction; the environment explains its working realization, and revision guides the writing of one's actual revision method. These files have different responsibilities. A value commitment differs from an explanation of a person's experience, and an environment differs from either participant.

Yinyang's central role-return account connects development with entering the other's role and returning with both possibilities available. A person can generate unfinished openings while the model reconstructs and checks; a decisive detail can then bring the person into scrutiny and the model into generating another whole. Explain why such participation is valued if it is adopted here. The relationship account owns its actual allocation, and subsequent use supplies evidence of development. Making the person perform every step does not follow from this aim.

The author's corrective purpose also matters: another contribution and the world's response should be able to change a direction that is reinforcing itself. Corrective feedback develops that purpose and its limits. State what deserves cultivation and what needs correction, leaving the aims themselves open to reconsideration. Neither unlimited amplification nor permanent return to an old state defines progress. Recipients can adopt other aims; keep reasons here rather than repeating the whole philosophy across the connected models.

Use explicit model-facing prose under the writing method. An image can make a relation intelligible; state the meaning that should guide judgment and action. Keep developed public arguments at their existing owners, with private reasons and attribution in the evidence material.

Revise the direction through what happens

When personal RSI is adopted, give improvement a situated meaning: what should the person and their supports become better able to understand, judge, create or change, and why? Explain the valued result and the costs relevant to it so the other accounts can compare concrete alternatives. A better output, a better method for producing improvements, and a changed life direction are different possible achievements. Actual participation and consequences can revise the criteria as well as the means. Keep those reasons here; the revision account explains how the comparison changes subsequent practice.

A completed output, relief, improved collaboration, and developing personal capacity support different claims. Judge the purpose actually chosen. Work may expose a poor realization, a mistaken account of the person, or a reason to reconsider the direction itself. Revise the affected relation with its grounds; neither the newest phrase nor a successful tool operation settles the whole.
