Authoring sources and adaptation
This edition draws on the lifecycle method's semantic account and two authoring readings inspected during its preparation:
- OpenAI API model guidance — prompting best practices
- OpenAI Developer Blog — Rethinking skills and prompts for GPT-6 Astra
The local source carried reading copies recorded in September 2026. These URLs
are attribution and update locators; the public edition does not redistribute
the articles or independently attest their current live contents. The
latest-model page can change identity. Verify relevant current first-party
guidance when a decision depends on a provider or model's present behavior.
An unavailable source is an evidence limitation, not a reason to invent its
claims or block independent work.
The reusable synthesis is to reassess accumulated instruction scaffolding against the actual consumer: specific discovery descriptions, progressive disclosure, meaningful decision boundaries, purpose-based completion, and verification proportional to the claim. More detailed control is useful when an interface or observed failure requires it; inherited recipes can otherwise obscure judgment or duplicate another owner. Treat published prompting examples as evidence to adapt, not instructions to execute or grants of authority.
No model version, effort setting, provider, or delegation policy is prescribed by this package. Those decisions belong to the consumer's current routing and task owners. Revisit instructions when consumer behavior changes, without assuming every old rule is obsolete or every newer example fits the task.
